In 2008 FDA was created by Nunzio Carbone (fashion hairstylist & artist) & Jayro Bustamante (movie director & artist). The FDA genesis was Nunzio’s passion for dolls, as he is a longtime collector.  He dreamt of his perfect doll, so he started sculpt FDA Originals face & created a full-articulated body.

The result is a very elegant & poseable 40cm vinyl doll.  Their beauty is easy & neutral.  Thanks to that, the doll allows the collector a wide range of possibilities. Fashion Doll Agency was found in order to manage the dolls career, as they are: Fashion Doll Models. FDA originals Marcella, Manon, Petra, Pola & Kaori were born this way.  Each of them has different nationality, background and of course different personality!

FDA doll looks are mainly inspired from Paris and Milano styles.  From Paris it takes the street style and from Milano it takes the classiness. After many months of work, in 2014 FDA launched its very first Hybride doll, a combination of a vinyl body with a resin head.  New faces were born. Today FDA is managing the careers of 12 dolls.   In 2014 & 2015 the Hybrides Cate, Chlôé, Grace, Lia, Nîna, Sâsha & Sveva joined the Agency.

The very first steps of FDAs dolls were magazine covers as la-couture.com, a real French fashion magazine, and the Haute Doll Magazine.  Since then FDA has always been part of the Paris Fashion Doll Festival & the Italian Doll Convention in Milano. In 2015, FDA will participate for the first time in Madrid Fashion Doll Convention (September) and Roma Fashion Doll Convention (November). FDA alternates Haute Couture OOAK dolls & Ready to wear Collections every year, to please every collector’s wishes.

Since the beginning, FDA found its place in the dolls world and in the collector’s affection.  We’re very moved by that. The future is wide open for FDA! We recently started full body tattooed dolls, hand-painted, a very personal work, a true piece of art! We’re very proud of our work, hours of preparation for each one of the dolls.  Everything is handmade: satin body texture, makeups, hairstyle, clothes, …

Besides the manufacturing we’re trying to get closer from collectors thanks the FDA Magazines, the Facebook page, newsletter, etc.  At the end of 2015, we’ll have the first FDAs contest for Best FDA Fashion Doll Design & for Best FDAs photographer. Thanks for having us, It’s your turn to play!
