Long-time collector Matt Trujillo has made quite a name for himself among fans of male fashion dolls. Artistic and creative since childhood, his talents led him to art school where he refined his gifts for painting, illustration and sculpting. A childhood love of Barbie merged with his love of art when he began repainting and rerooting in the early 80s.Encouraged to sell his work in 2004, he filled a much needed niche by creating sexy, cute, and daring male fashion doll OOAKs for those who needed a little man-candy in their collections.His creations have become fan-favorites among the fashion-doll crowd, and have only been available at various conventions. He has since won several awards for his work, has helped to raise money for various charities, and was honored to have been part of Barbie and Ken’s historic 50th Anniversary celebration by being one of the designers of the 2011 NBDCC convention doll gift set. Matt is thrilled to once again help out with the charity event by donating another of his creations.

He's received a full repaint by the artist--piercing pale blue eyes-- the color of the sky-- look from beneath big expressive brows. Softly tinted lips add warmth.. Our style setter comes dressed in a mix of stylish pieces from vintage to hand made! -- edgy black jeans with detailing paired with a vintage Ken tuxedo jacket. Under the jacket is a tank with layers of hand applied sequinned fabric is shades of silver and gunmetal. a pink gauntlet on his left arm accents the shock of pink in his hair, as the gray Chelsea boots pull the colors from his top. The topper is a hand made multiple strand chain statement necklace in shades of silver and gunmetal. "My Unchained Heart" Has been rerooted, flocked and repainted by Matt Trujillo.
